multitaskin'
| Ever think you're a much less patient person than you used to be? Case in point, I picked up the last Harry Potter book a few days ago and still haven't finished it. I can't seem to sit down and read for more than 20 minutes at a time. When I was young I could sit for ten hours straight and devour a novel but now I can't even handle long reading stints of an exciting book. Another example, right now I am surfing four websites concurrently while writing an (admittedly distracted) blog entry, knitting the last sleeve of my pea pod cardi, watching my housemates play Burnout 3 on PS2 and singing along to german pop-punk. My attention span has been whittled away to a sliver, unable to withstand the rigorous regime of university I used to subject it to. No wonder I just got bored writing this blog entry. I'm off to play Burnout. |
